The Young Professionals’ Fellowship transitions from a Ministry to a Directorate

As Rev. Engr. Oladeji becomes Pioneer Director of Young Professionals’ Fellowship

The Young Professionals’ Fellowship (YPF) of the Diocese of Lagos has officially transitioned from a ministry to a directorate. This significant pronouncement was made during the YPF Dinner, tagged Dining with the Nobles, held on the 12th of Ocotber 2024, where The Rt. Rev’d Dr. Ifedola Senasu Gabriel Okupevi, Diocesan Bishop of Lagos, addressed the gathering.

During his address, Bishop Okupevi recognized the growing impact and influence of the Young Professionals’ Fellowship and emphasized the need for an expanded structure to accommodate its future plans. He announced that the YPF would no longer function as a ministry but as a full-fledged directorate within the Diocese.

As part of this new structure, Rev. Engr. Elijah Oladotun Oladeji, who has served as the coordinator and chaplain of YPF, was appointed the pioneer director of the newly established Directorate of Young Professionals.

The transformation marks a new chapter for the Fellowship, which has been instrumental in providing spiritual guidance, mentorship, and professional development for young adults in the Diocese.
